Telescope Help

If you have got a new telescope and need some help to set it up we can usually help.

You can bring along your equipment to one of our meetings, our members will examine it and be able to advise you on its use and how to get the best out of it.

We meet every second Saturday of the month in Shurdington. See our Events page.

Our member’s advice on your equipment will be offered freely, of course. However, we charge £2 per meeting attendance fee to non-members. That does include admission to the Society’s meeting, normally including an hour-long illustrated talk on some interesting astronomical subject at a level that beginners can understand. And free tea and biscuits!

Perhaps you would be interested to join our Society? We have members who are complete beginners as well as very experienced members. We are a friendly group and we are sure we have much to offer to anyone who is embarking on or is interested in astronomy.

If you would like to join the Cotswold Astronomical Society, the annual membership fee is £20 per year. There can be some reductions in this fee – such as if part of the year has passed –  that we can explain to you on the night you attend.

We hope to see you at one of our meetings soon!
