Meeting Scheduled For Saturday 9th January 2010 Cancelled

Due to the adverse weather conditions, and no upturn in the forecast we have regretfully taken the decision to cancel Saturday's meeting. We have been able to reschedule Dr. Hargrave's talk, which will now take place at the September meeting.

Regarding the Mercury newsletter; for those of you that take the printed version, we will post these too you as soon as we can. The electronic version will be available for download once William has been able to send it to me.

Regarding the Annual Dinner; if you have not already done so, there is still time to book your place for the Society dinner on Thursday 28th January. Booking forms (along with payment) can be posted to Rod Salisbury to arrive not later than Saturday 16th January. Regarding next weeks observing evening at Bredon Cricket Club, again I am expecting the under-foot conditions to be somewhat icy, so I anticipate this being cancelled too. However, I will confirm this on the Society website on Monday if the evening is still able to go ahead.

I am sorry to take this unusual step of cancelling the meeting, but I am sure it will be for the best.
