As the amount of equipment has recently risen, we have changed the way in which equipment is now held and made available to members. Each piece is held by a designated member to look after it. If you wish to borrow the equipment, please contact the Coordinator, who will put you in touch with the holder.

This is a gadget that helps the beginner navigate around the night sky.
CAS_meade_8inch Meade 8” Dobsonian (C)
Kindly donated, this large aperture scope offers a great introduction to the wonders of the night sky.
etx-90 Meade ETX 90 (A)
This is a small telescope that comes with its own tripod and was kindly donated to the society by Tony Ireland.
nexstar Celestron NexStar 130GT (C)
Donated to the society this kit is particularly suitable for a beginner, especially one who is not very familiar with the night sky.
binos 10x50 binoculars (A)
A fine pair of binoculars and a sturdy tripod with adaptor. Both of these items were bequeathed to the society by the late Mary Hilsden.
CAS_C8 Celestron C8+ (C)
This fine telescope was very kindly given to the society. It is often available by for viewing at monthly meetings and observing events, clear skies permitting. And it can be borrowed.
tal100r Tal 100R refractor (B)
Purchased by the society as a loan / public viewing scope, this 100mm f/10 refractor allows high contrast views of the moon, planets and double stars. It also has a Baader film white light solar filter.
CAS_Phenix_Refractor Phenix 127 (D)
This 5” f/9.4 achromatic refractor offers excellent views of the
moon and planets. It was kindly donated.
